METHOD
The distillery is located on the banks of the Maroni River, near the equator where the climate is hot and humid all year round and offers a sandy light soil. Since 3 generations the rums of the Saint-Maurice distillery receive multiple distinctions. The cane is hand cutted and used fresh. The fermented and distilled’’vesou’’ gives the nectar a unique flavor. The Toucan then is magnified by a minimum aging of 6 months in old Bas-Armagnac oak barrels.
